Synopsis: The inhabitants of a small town in Asturias, whose way of life is livestock, fear the wolf. A respectful attitude is shared between them, a fairy-tale-like everyday reality, where politics seeps in from every corner. A portrait of the unease felt by a town that hears wolves at night. The wolf is a secretive animal, and the locals have only seen it twice in their lives. The invisible presence awakens fear in the locals, a fear fueled by stories that will translate into hatred, mixed with a certain respect and admiration: “Your clothes feel strange, cold, they take away your voice, your hair stands on end”; “They deceive you, they watch you, you don’t see them, but they see you.” These expressions constitute a network of information that transcends the superficial to become a deeply rooted belief, its absolute truth: “I tell you that what I’m telling you is true.”
